A Scientific Approach to Facial Aesthetics
As a facial cosmetic surgeon dedicated to the pursuit of surgical perfection, Dr. Young has performed important research in facial aesthetics. He has developed a highly regarded theory known as the Circles of Prominence. This theory provides a scientific explanation of facial beauty based on the size and arrangement of various facial features. By slightly changing the balance between the nose, chin, eyes and/or eyebrows, a skilled surgeon can dramatically improve the overall harmony of the whole face. As the author of the Circles of Prominence, Dr. Young has a thorough understanding of facial aesthetics. He applies his vast knowledge to every procedure he performs, consistently delivering remarkable yet natural-looking facial beautification results.
Minimally Invasive Facial Rejuvenation Procedures
In addition to performing a range of surgical facial procedures, such as facelift and rhinoplasty, Dr. Young offers an extensive range of non-invasive facial beautification treatments. One of the more exciting minimally invasive procedures he performs is fat transfer. During this procedure, patients' own fat is used to enhance cheek and chin contours and/or improve the hollows below the eyes. After the fat cells are extracted from an appropriate location, such as thighs or buttocks, they are purified and then injected in the area that needs enhancement. The result is a more proportionate, natural-looking facial profile.
In order to enhance the results of fat transfers, Dr. Young sometimes recommends that patients also undergo laser skin resurfacing and/or microdermabrasion. Both of these procedures exfoliate and stimulate the skin, removing dead cells and promoting the growth of healthy tissue. Typically, these treatments are performed in a series to achieve more pronounced, longer lasting rejuvenation results.
