Vision Correction Surgeons throughout North America
LASIK surgery and other forms of vision correction surgery are popular with patients who struggle with eyeglasses or contact lenses. LASIK surgery is a popular elective procedure because it can be performed on an outpatient basis and promotes quick recovery periods. Patients who are not good candidates for LASIK surgery may be eligible for implantable collamer lens (ICL) implantation. During the procedure, ICLs are placed over the eye's natural lens to improve near or distance vision. Cataract surgery is another popular vision correction procedure. Thanks to ophthalmologic advancements, surgeons can correct for myopia, hyperopia and presbyopia in addition to correcting cataracts with premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs). In addition, some eye surgeons are experimenting with limbal-relaxing incisions, which treat patients with astigmatism. As surgical techniques and ophthalmologic technologies become more sophisticated, patients can get a variety of conditions corrected with minimal pain and recovery periods.
